Rita Carpenter is a mixed media and watercolor artist based in Wisconsin, who bagain her creative journey in 2008 through the lens of a camera. Capturing unique moments in quick photographs laid the foundation for her artistic style - one that balances spontaneity with intention. Over time, Rita transitioned into painting, finding her true passion in watercolor and mixed media.
Her work often explores landscapes and travel experiences. She embraces the challenge of watercolor and enjoys incorporating other mediums into her pieces.
In addition to creating art, Rita is a dedicated educator. She primarily teaches watercolor and mixed media, guiding students at basic to intermediate levels. Beyond the studio, she leads travel art vacations to inspiring destinations through her small business Art on the Fly, LLC. She has taught in Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, and throughout the United States - blending art, exploration, and cultural immersion into unforgettable creative experiences.
